| poached smoached | JimC. Oct 30, 2002 12:56 PM | | I ran across a buncha pix on an old floppy this a.m., was just thinking the same....
I think this is Fast Eddie, Kathleen, and youse. Lou Reed called in sick that ride.
Jim |
| I'm pretty sure that's Hawes, Hoss. | Fast Eddy Oct 30, 2002 1:42 PM | | Thanks for the pic though.
Those guys are always talking about night riding Hawes sans lights under a full moon. I get so jealous. |
| yep it its... | JimC. Oct 30, 2002 2:35 PM | | never took a single National Pic the whole time, I rattled down Waterfall and stopped a sec to chat with Charles Coker, then onward.
1st year Pete got some good shots of me doing a nose wheelie just before, well, uno.
Ride with no lights? hahahahah. Trees are hard. Wait, they have none!
Bastidges! Jim |
| i'd rather run into a tree than a cactus | Jm Oct 30, 2002 9:24 PM | | like i did last sunday, a few times. I didn't "run" into it, but brushed by and got serveral needles stuck in my hand, had to dig em out with a knife at the bottom of the hill. Anyway, a full on encounter could be extremely nasty...depends on the speed of course, i hit a tree about a week earlier anyways....heh |
| Sorry..... | Gnarly1 Oct 31, 2002 9:40 AM | | ...for making you jealous, but Hawes really is perfect for riding sans lights under a full moon! |
| yep ... | Nick. Oct 30, 2002 1:50 PM | | that be us ... soaking up the shade.

| Damn straight it is. | Twilight Error® Oct 30, 2002 6:36 PM | | I just secured the Ironcase for the trip, looks like I'm bringing Stinky on the plane with me this time. I've also ordered a pair of 2.35 'xc' tires to take a few grams off the wheels. I should be in great shape for all that climbing... TE<----can't wait to check out some of that warm weather, it snowed up here today. |
| don't you love..... | Gnarly1 Oct 30, 2002 3:50 PM | | ...that helmet/jersey combo? Both of the flowers-on-yellow-background variety. Quite nicely coordinated, if I say so myself!
:-)
I had forgotten we even took pictures that day! Thanks! |
| hey, is that where..... | Gnarly1 Oct 30, 2002 3:53 PM | | ...that tricky little corner was at the bottom of all those rock steps? I really enjoyed that sequence. Let's go back! |

Hey, where they hell have you been? Or for that matter, where the hell have I been?

I'm gonna be scaling some rocks out by Superior on Saturday, as a matter of fact. Then, I'm heading up to Sedona on Sunday to ride with Annie & Charlie -- sent you an email, if you are interested.
PS: Yea, I mean the one that only I cleaned...but look at the weenie line I'm taking! ;-) |
| Holbert? | mtbberzrkr Oct 30, 2002 4:11 PM | | Surroundings look familiar, but the trail doesn't.
Maybe I should stop more often and look around.
I really never spend more than a few minutes at a time on that trail :) |
| I see why everyone is concerned about keeping that trail open... | BBOC Oct 30, 2002 2:19 PM | | It looks spectacular! |
| one of those crazy DHers | Jm Oct 30, 2002 5:06 PM | | is me. |
