The directions and maps were posted here:

Fast Eddy "Epic Henry Coe SP Ride and Micro-gathering" 8/30/02 9:18am

And Uncle Brian posted the data from his computer here:

Uncle Brian "Tour de Coe ride profile" 9/24/02 11:04am

Here's the tourmap. Part III starts around Miller Field, and goes all the way around to the finish:

It was, like, 95+ at this point. Brian wanted to bail, but he had the only water filter, and the water was at Mississippi Lake, at the top of the climb.

This is a panorama facing east from County Line Road. On a clear day, you could see the Sierras in the distance.

...had a truck. It was getting close to dark, and we still had 18 miles to ride. It turned out they were staying at Pacheco Camp, and they and their group offered us some bbq. We decided to press on though...

...filtering water from Mississippi Lake. All of us were out of water by the time we arrived. PaulJ found some chicks (WTF is up with that?), who gave him a couple bottles of ice water. Those went down good.

We still had 14 miles to ride. I'm pretty sure we went down Mudd Spring Trail. This picture was taken on the way down.

We were so glad to get back to the cars (and the beer), that I forget to take a final picture. This fuzzy one that we took at the top of the climb out of Kelly Lake will have to do. Thanks for the ride guys!! Sorry part III took me three months to post.

It's a repost from here: Fast Eddy "Tour de Coe Teaser Pics" 9/24/02 1:16pm

I wondered about the "Coe" ride prior to departing for AZSF....

You want take me up there and leave me gutted on the trail.... Nice!!!

Seriously though are you off the monday that I leave as I thought of coming down Sunday night and loading bikes etc. and leave from your place or get a ride in at Coe before I leave.

If I come down Sunday nite I would need to park the "Global Warmer" and trailer somewhere.

The alternative would be if you guys came up that weekend for rides at Boggs and/or Annadell and BBQ/Beers at my place....

Let me know what will work.
