| Need help from the marketplace savvy types. | Pete. Jul 1, 2003 10:56 AM | | Any ideas on how much this frame is worth? I've done some snooping around and have an idea, but I don't keep my finger onthe pulse of the used frame market.

| Its all in the marketing. | Drewpy Jul 1, 2003 11:15 AM | | Just advertise it as "Mountain Bike with a ghost in the downtube". |
| Don't discount the celebrity factor. | Biking Viking Jul 1, 2003 11:25 AM | | "Owned and ridden by the famous Pete Fagerlin"
I heard Britney Spears got 250 Benjamins for a pair of used Levi's.
Don't know if they had been worn with underwear.

| but that is something | lidarman Jul 1, 2003 11:34 AM | | that pete needs to hide.
I covered that above already. |
| As I expected. | Pete. Jul 1, 2003 11:40 AM | | Well, that's the last straw.
Well it is time for me to say goodbye. I have been hanging out here for a while, but will no longer be an active participant for a while. I won't lurk on occasions, or ask about rides if I go somewhere. But passion has just not worked out for me. People are so dang mean! For the most part I have been let down. Maybe I underestimated the population of passion. Don't get me wrong, I have gained some useful information from this site (mostly about fetish sites, collecting belly button lint, and competitive felching). But there is a core group that think they are so cool (you know who you are, the damn midget mafia). It's to bad that a couple of people can ruin a site, thinking that it exist for their own amusement. I received a lot of support, via e-mail, fax, instant messaging, certified mail, and carrier pidgeon from different people during some pretty heated flame wars. But all in all I don't believe that I made any friends in passion. That really upsets me because Passion is the most important thing in my life. That's to bad, I came here looking for mtn. bikers with a common intrest, but found a bunch of people who believe that their sole purpose was to be smartasses. Like that asshole Jive and his boy-toy Chip. People make character assumptions based on a post in a thread. I realize that I brought some of this on myself (especially with my deep knowledge concerning the interaction of saran wrap, crisco, and maraschino cherries), but I also know that I am a much better person than some of you think. Stuart Smalley says I am so it must be true! A lot of people have made assumptions about me that were completely wrong. I might meet some of you in the future, and you will be very surprised b/c I am not the person that you think I am. I am much more irreverent in addition to having six toes on my right foot.
Goodbye Passion. |

| Hide??? The fact that... | Biking Viking Jul 1, 2003 11:52 AM | | ...the frame was ridden without underwear - most of the time.
Everybody knows that. Don't know how it affects the market value, though.

| So... | Yoda Jul 1, 2003 12:05 PM | | What was Brittney doing with an old pair of Pete's Levis? |
| There is truth to that | J.D. Jul 1, 2003 12:20 PM | | Use some video to sell it on eBay, or wherever. I sold that YSL frame that Pete shot me riding on Zippety a few years ago and linked the video to the auction. It sold for $170. |
| Good news!... | terminaut Jul 1, 2003 11:37 AM | | Apparently you can get a cash refund in CA. LOL. Nice vid! Looks like stuff I'm going to have to ride for sure.

| How about trade for new clutch? Nm | Jrm Jul 1, 2003 1:12 PM | | |
| New clutch installed at 33k. | Pete. Jul 1, 2003 1:25 PM | | It did age a little prematurely, but they're pretty tough.
Besides, I need to put the Id money towards a new frame, or back waxing. |
| isn't that *misunderestimated* ? keep up with the times! | Wasatch Walt Jul 1, 2003 1:47 PM | | I'm sorry I ruined it for you; I'll try to be a better person next time. |
| Put it on eBay and dont forget to mention... | Hollis Jul 1, 2003 1:46 PM | | it has many Like New* parts and it was used mostly on Church Social Rides.
Hollis (warranty replacement parts count as new right?) |
| Notwithstanding your notoriety here... | Soupboy187 Jul 1, 2003 8:05 PM | | ...put that bad boy on eBay with a few more decent pics of BB and pivot areas and save the MTBR classifieds for parting out your components to the extent you're not saving them for your next dually.
Just hope your eBay "Feedback" is better than the responses to your passion posts...
eBay - "...Where 5% of Americana is willing to 95% of MSRP for used gear..."
Caveat emptor - or some Latin shi-ite like that. I'm sure you'll make out fine/better on eBay.
