This morning I woke up to the pitter-patter of a steady rainfall. It's falling again right now in Burnaby, so the North Shore has got to be getting a good soaking.
I'm hoping this will lower the fire hazard enough for the woods to be opened up this weekend. Mind you I'm also hoping we leave some moisture in the clouds and send it up to Kelowna. They need it more than we do. |

But it started raining (agian) when I was getting ready to leave for work. I'm not ready to get wet on my bike yet. So, I caught the bus.

The Districts of North and West Vancouver are pleased to report that the recent cooler weather has reduced the Provincial Forest Hazard rating. Therefore, effective 4:00 p.m. September 10th, the Districts of North and West Vancouver and GVRD forested trail network is reopened and the restrictions are now lifted.
It may take one or two days to remove all closure signage, but persons may now enter the forests without penalty.
We thank the public for its cooperation and invite residents and visitors to continue to enjoy the beauty of our forested areas.
