It's gunna make me forget about the:
friggin' entire evening I just spent "making" an external soundblaster extigy work with this system (tips: DO NOT use a usb 2.0 port; use a DEDICATED 1.1 port----then after successful installation kill the stupid rcman.exe and any other application having to do w/ remote control of the program--otherwise cpu usage will be 100% AND the MTBR surfing will be SLOW).
the phone call I got saying my 90 year old grandmother only has 50/50% of making it another day---I really did not want to spend my last week's worth of leave in St Louis.
the stupid paper I have to finish up for my strategy mba course that's due tomorrow. I'm actually going to earn a "C" or less in my next to final graduate class. Oh well; I use the term "earn" lightly. The asswipe VP for academics is actually "grading" (after all grad level courses are rarely taught these days)--bunch of bs--all my other classes were "graded" by an adjunct or "lecturer". My 3.8 is going to drop to 3.6 or so. I'm lucky enough to ascertain the problem and come up w/ some alternatives and a solution--but no--she wants pages and pages of detail like we already have tons of executive leadership time under our belts--yeah.. right.
So I just needed to vent. I'm going to listen to something really loud on this now working darn good sound card and new speaker setup in the morning while I throw on my sick new mtbr stuff; then I'm going to hit some illegal Mililani trails with a few locals--dam* the prison guards and damn the Dole pineapple guards (hopefully we don't go thru any wrong gates). The last time I tried this several months ago I found my way on prison property--that wasn't too cool.
Anyone else with a story about how tomorrow's (well it's already today back in the mainland) ride is going to make a buch of minor silliness all better?
