Got a little saddle time in.Bikebreath

Quick Summary: Stupid mistake resulted in commuter crash in July; Running one morning before sunrise in October stepped on a tennis ball and was on crutches for 3 days...

Got up Thanksgiving morning and felt like I just had to ride. Got out the commuter bike, grabbed a camera and my cell phone and took off north. Rode all over taking pictures and enjoying hardly anyone else out on the road. Cut through a park and did a downhill with embedded baby heads with my slick road tires on strong mtb wheels and survived. Made me really homesick for real, full lenght dirt riding. Exited the park and got a pastry and a coffee at the 7-11, [nothing else open on T-day]. Stopped by my folks to check up on their place while they are out of town. Then too another park route home...all in all, 'bout 15 miles. Most time spent on a bike since July 8th.

Happy Days!

Bb, [ I don't think my ankle will be ready for real dirt until Spring...hurts today after yesterday, but I had, had, HAD to spin some. ]

Be careful tempting fate with those slicks, our you'll be laid up again!

The doc cuts off my cast Wednesday to he can take the stitches out and get an x-ray. Then I find out if I've got 2 more weeks or 4 more weeks in another over-the-elbow cast, or worse. Right now it feels like a perfectly good, but itchy, arm in a fiberglass prison.

Yay! must have felt GOOD to pedal!! (nm)Impy
