Bianchi SS(2 posts)

Bianchi SSvmann1955

Months back I asked for help on converting my old Bianchi MTB into a SS. I had already done this using a singleator but wanted to change the drop outs and lose the singleator. Thanks to all who responded with advice. I have finished it and thought I would post the finished project. It did create a small engineering problem for future reference. Because the drop-outs move the wheel back brake adjustment is affected, ie: getting the pads to the rim without hitting the tire is a little annoying. I think it can be handled as the bike works now, but different brakes might be required or just some fine tuning.

Is that a kid you have standing in the corner?

Nice build. I expected to see a BussCussDissDUSSBassAssAckWackButtwhatever-thing.
