are YOU looking to build a cheap, small SS? (2 posts)
| are YOU looking to build a cheap, small SS? | pixies Oct 29, 2001 6:39 PM | | friends and confidants,
yes yes. i know, indeed, it is INGRAINED in my subconscious that this here forum is not the classified section, but if you can find it in your four-chambered one-geared heart to forgive me, i have a little bit o' biking material to offer up...
my old friend, my first bike, my 92 rockhopper comp, formerly geared but now stripped, is at the heart of a retro-lovely SS package i have to offer. the frame is direct drive cro-mo, so is the matching fork, both painted metallic green that fades into metallic maroon. frame size is 15.5" c-c or 16" c-t, no suspension correction anywhere, so think thrice before sticking any suspension nearby. on this frame and fork are affixed:
a syncros stem, 0 degree rise, 150mm long, canti-approved
black OEM headset
coda flat bar
new red yeti grips
a front shimano dx brake and lever (also red)
a silver seatpost that is short
some kind of comfy italian saddle
a shimano lx bottom bracket
black shimano lx cranks with middle ring and rock ring
i have also, ready for application:
ringle zuzu pedals (pretty darn nice)
a profile carbon riser bar
original front and rear lx cantis along with
the rear dx v-brake and lever
plus, if you want:
the original seven speed rear wheel and the deraillers (exage and lx)
if you like the looks of this package, please send me an offer of less than 300 dollars U.S. currency potentially drawn from a U.S. bank. i am sorry to get rid of my first mountain bike ever, but i am looking to pass her along to a more suited (shorter) rider.
i was going to single-ize her, but the bike is really too small for me. let me know if you are intrigued via email:
pixies1@aol.com
and if you want to see the parts in the classified section, i'll be posting them over there right away, i.e. in a few short minutes.
thanks.

i will also accept a trade for the aforementioned materials so long as the deal entails an old, well-worn, half-rusted track bicycle. please, no pinarellos or colnagos, unless you truly must.
cheers. |
