upgrading the fireman's single speed....fireboy
Feb 14, 2002 7:30 AM
I wanna upgrade my fireman's single speed to run MTB bottom bracket and cranks....a few questions...

1) converters - I know 24bikes and Mountain Speed make a converter for BMX to MTB bottom brackets...anything else out there???

2) cranks - was looking at the truvativ stylo's on webcyclery...if I get splined bb...will it be adjustable as far as chainline?? I have a 110mm rear axle spacing and don't wanna spend all this money then have a shitty chainline.

and C) How's a 32 front 18 rear as far as a gear ratio...I now have a 35 front 20 rear and it's pretty low geared...but it is also LONG BMX cranks....like a 185 or sumthin....a 32x18 with 175mm cranks pretty standard for SS???

thanks
