Feb 14, 2002 6:13 PM | | Thought I would try out my studded tires on a frozen pond today, what a hoot! put the fixed gear hub on and was trying tricks like riding backwards and fishtailing the back end all over.No spills or crashes,thanx to the studded treads.anyways,worked up a good sweat while having fun and doing something different,might try a local trail riding fixed.If I go to fast down a hill,I will just backpedal(reverse!!).Give er a try...Vern |

This winter I've been hoping for snowy days just so I can really give the fixee a workout on the daily commute... the first thing that came to mind when I got the bike was an old Barenaked Ladies song... "Everything old is new again" (everything under the sun...). Its definitely applies. Now if only I could justify some studded tires (too much salting here, and too much road riding... that would hurt!
