Thought I would try out my studded tires on a frozen pond today, what a hoot! put the fixed gear hub on and was trying tricks like riding backwards and fishtailing the back end all over.No spills or crashes, thanx to the studded treads.anyways, worked up a good sweat while having fun and doing something different, might try a local trail riding fixed. If I go to fast down a hill,I will just backpedal(reverse!!).Give er a try...Vern

When I first got my fixee about a year ago I was amazed at how different it was... and how much fun it was. This winter I've been hoping for snowy days just so I can really give the fixee a workout on the daily commute... the first thing that came to mind when I got the bike was an old Barenaked Ladies song... "Everything old is new again" (everything under the sun...). Its definitely applies. Now if only I could justify some studded tires (too much salting here, and too much road riding... that would hurt!

Keep enjoying the fixed.
Peace and Light,
Ben

Fixed is the only way to ride in the rain. It makes skidding that much easier and smoother.
