|   Using SS bolt on hub on Breezer (vertical) dropouts | EWR
Feb 18, 2002 5:22 PM | | In my search for a new set of wheels, I have thought about getting a Paul SS hub. My bike has vertical dropouts on it, is there any reason this would cause a problem with the bolt on hub (instead of a QR)?
I have considered having the frame cut and horizontal droupouts installed but I am not sure if I want to do it or not. |

Feb 18, 2002 6:48 PM | | I recently tried to use some large track nuts from Phil Wood on Breezer Vertical drops. They just don't fit. I switched to a smaller bolt. It works fine since they are snug in the vertical drop.
I've used those large track nuts on horizontal drops, I think they were sub 11s, and they do not move. So beefy and strong.
Just checking, have you thought about chain tension? You mentioned vertical drops... |
