Hey Red-haze,
What is the countdown now for the Moab trip??? You gotta be getting jazzed for that action!
Will we be getting photos whilst you are on the road, or just a huge addition to your website when you return?
Oh, by the way, my Hope disc now squeals a bit too after the tapioca pudding ride we did last week. I'm going to look in the owners manual to see what it says to remedy that....
Take it easy!
Tim
P.S. I ordered a 20T freewheel. Happy happy joy joy! |
| don't have to take off shoes to count anymore... | red-haze Apr 18, 2002 1:16 PM | | 8 days! next saturday we leave, haven't decided what time yet. Jekyll frame should be here (LBS) tomorrow and they'll put it together. It gets a new chain and cassette too. I'll take it out for a hard shakedown ride before we go. It'll be weird riding squishy gears again. but then, got a commuter bike put together yesterday. 4-speed w/coaster brake. Its got a shimano generator hub in front and got the lights mounted today. pretty cool, just pedal and let there be light! went for a ride w/Sue, then jumped on a handbrake bike. almost ran into stuff backpedalling!
going for a Hammer ride in about an hour, got a new victim today...
I'll see how my hopes are today, they were REALLY covered in muck after that Capitol foreSSt ride. I don't remember hearing them squeaking on that last part of the ride. so maybe they're better.
riding east of the Cascades Saturday, gotta have some bright sun! gonna do Syncline Trail near Hood River.
you mean you never had a 20t freewheel?? or never noticed that you had only an 18t till we tried climbing that trail? either way...lol
