| Where to go on the way to Spokane? | Brad aka Tus Jun 25, 2002 6:13 PM | | Hey, I'm heading up to Spokane, WA July 17 for a race July 20-21 (Candian/ American Police/Fire Games). I'm coming from Santa Cruz and I've never been north of Grants Pass, Ore. Anyone know a good place to check out and/or ride?

| If your coming up I-5 | General Coonskins Jun 25, 2002 6:32 PM | | you can hook up with us in Eugene. There is some awsome single track around. Not sure what your looking for but we could arrange a day or night ride of just about any distance and ability.
Give me a email, general_coonskins@singlespeed.net

then, as you go by hood river on I-84, take the first exit and find Post Canyon road (just make a coupla right turns). ride and play. videos at http://red-haze.com
i don't know where the race is at in spokane (probably mt spokane) but if you can, find Esmeralda golf course on the slopes of beacon hill, park in the lot and look up. see that trail? follow it up, follow it down, follow it all around. very fun extensive trail system there. been a couple of years since i've been there but i remember it fondly.

| mMooooHoooohawWHAAAAHAAAAA!!!! | Spar¡cus Jun 25, 2002 8:05 PM | | Oops, sorry. I didn't mean to let go with my sinister laugh. Really.
It's just that I know if'n ya stop here fer a ride er two (way up/way down) you'll 'mmediately become s'danged hooked on our magic zone that after them rides ya'll drive right back inta downtown Blew-gene, find a place ta rent (er buy), then call yer friends 'n family ta tell 'em of yer new address. Ya don't even need no job ta live 'round these parts! Enough filthy green-haired, freeloadin', jay walkin', tattoo'd & pierced, hippie-bred, smart-mouthed, panhandlin' anarchists hangin' around the mall to prove that! By golly.
Bring ya a baseball bat er tar arn, friend.
Okay, seriously Brad, when will you be coming through? We wanna make a plan so we can treat ya to the good stuff.
And DO bring those night ridin' lights!
