| tamjam i got your frame... | moschika Jun 28, 2002 11:59 AM | | i just picked up your frame. very nice paint job. i really like the color but that is one tiny little frame. that place was cool. i've lived in this neighborhood for over a year and have visited that area countless times and i have never really noticed that place. and talk about a whos who of shops. while i was pulling up, scot nicol was there dropping something off(not bikes) for some work to be done, there was a soulcraft frame and jericho ebb frames hanging on the wall. i guess they do sycip frames too. well i know where i'm going to get any of my frames repainted if and when that time comes. nice choice. let me know when you might be able to come up. maybe we can slip in ride too. |
| Thanks! | tamjam Jun 28, 2002 12:42 PM | | Moschika- thanks a lot. The 7am -3.30pm 5 day/week hours they keep just weren't working for me. The guy who told me about that place was Greg Biber of Tamalpais Cycles, and when he mentioned the Who's Who of the bike world gets their frames powdercoated there also, I was sold. Sycip, Ibis, Soulcraft and on and on. Not as cheap as the ElectroTech who did Kam's Dean, but $150 is good enough for me.
And maybe I'll have to sneak in a spin around Annadel when I come to pick it up. I'll drop you a line when I'm ready to scoot up there.
thanks again. |
| Oh yeah... | tamjam Jun 28, 2002 12:47 PM | | ...and my wife is tiny, hence the XS Bontrager size. It does look funny, the top tube and seat stays almost one straight piece across. |
| yeah sure. | moschika Jun 28, 2002 6:27 PM | | no problem gettin it.
actually thanks for letting me on to a good local resource. other than thursday i work every day next week. but then there is always next weekend. just let me know when you want to come up this way. |
