So 33 singlespeeders represented on this ultra-tough course with 4500 feet of climbing. And there were many SSers in the lead pack! Most of them were on white Soulcraft bikes.

Derek - finished with 3:05 and said 'man, that's just too effin hard'!
Andy of Team Hamana - Finished at right around 3 hours and had a better time than last year
Font9a - (new bay area rider from houston) - we found him wandering around town with his buddy doing an RV tour of the biking hotspots western US. "is there some kind of event happening here in town this weekend?"
raymond - brought Jericho SS and had a grand time on a downhill run.
Josh Ogle - raced a jericho SS, hung over, on the downhill race and kicked ass... 55 minutes
Roger - too busy with a bachelor party. but his wife Amanda shows up and kicks ass with a time of 2:50
me - did a downhill run on the steelman and then did a shuttle-xc run called Lavasolla. 35 miles, 6500 feet of descent. One of the best rides ever!!

One with me where he was amazingly fast... with only a rear coaster brake and no front shock. his race downhill run was at 1 hour and he won. Never mind that he sabotaged the bikes of the other two competitors. Winner takes all baby!!! |
