anybody familiar with these? check out the anvils on the spectrumpowderworks.com bikes gallery (dark blue/yellow one on page 1, and orange one on page 6). apparently these accomodate bolt-on drops that are horizontals, disc mounts, derailleur, whatever. unfortunately only bike pictured, no the bolt-ons.
Kavic does 'em!!Banks

Kavic is in AZ, building alloy frames of any style. My buddy works for Brian, who is the owner and was the first to do the modular dropouts for road, cross and mtn frames. It's a neat and very strong idea. The frame can have "horz" drops, "vert" drops with or without disk, and you would only have to have one frame and get good at taking parts on and off. Great for a road bike. The drops are beautiful and also is a replaceable derailleur hangerif needed, of course.
Titus says that they were the first, but they coppied Brian's idea; he had them 1.5 years ago.
Does Kavic also make bikes under the name "Agave"Uglydog

Saw some bikes at 'sedona bike and bean' with tose drop outs made in both steel and aluminum bikes under the brand name of 'Agave'. Just wondering. BTW-hit the trails around sedona on a road trip back from Durango, very nice.

I don't know what company came up with the idea, but Aegis has been doing it for over 10 years - from before they were even building bikes under their own name. I know the BIK frames had them. Before that they built the original Kestrel frames and I believe they had them also.
