| Jamis Dragon SS | kidney Sep 16, 2002 5:15 AM | | I finally finished my Dragon w/EBB and disc mounts converted by Wade at Vulture Cycles. I'll have to get some close-ups of the sweet black and silver powdercoat done locally. They did my cranks to match. I brought it out to show at the xc race yesterday but when it started to rain before the race I decided to switch to my CompS's and race it in my age class. I was hoping it would keep raining but wouldn't you know it stopped raining right at the start? I was running 2nd on the first lap, faded to 4th because of all the level two-track and then lost a position when I hade to stop and tighten the bars. Ended up 5th out of 10. The rough stuff held me back a little but I was flying past everyone up the hills.

I'll probably bring it with me to Aspen and get some more pics. Maybe I'd better hurry and get another one done in the gold to have the exclusive on that one too. I switched to my Tyrannoraptors tonight and gained 1 lb! Haven't ridden it yet to see if it helps smooth it out, today was recovery ride on the 'cross bike. |
