Sep 16, 2002 5:15 AM | | I finally finished my Dragon w/EBB and disc mounts converted by Wade at Vulture Cycles. I'll have to get some close-ups of the sweet black and silver powdercoat done locally. They did my cranks to match. I brought it out to show at the xc race yesterday but when it started to rain before the race I decided to switch to my CompS's and race it in my age class. I was hoping it would keep raining but wouldn't you know it stopped raining right at the start? I was running 2nd on the first lap, faded to 4th because of all the level two-track and then lost a position when I hade to stop and tighten the bars. Ended up 5th out of 10. The rough stuff held me back a little but I was flying past everyone up the hills.

Maybe I'd better hurry and get another one done in the gold to have the exclusive on that one too. I switched to my Tyrannoraptors tonight and gained 1 lb! Haven't ridden it yet to see if it helps smooth it out, today was recovery ride on the 'cross bike. |
