Isn't she pretty...? If you know of any other Candian SS builders post them here. So far I only know of Peyto, Brodie and True North.

The True North, custom, Reynolds 853, is $1450cdn plus paint options (ouch) and the Spot is 650usd. These are Frame only prices. I think the True North fork is 325.

Hey, True North is in the Cambridge, Ontario area right? Is that where you live?
Man, Hugh does some beautiful work on his frames/bikes! (nm)SS_MB-7

as I look at the true North web page, should folks assume that the prices quoted are in CAN$ as opposed to U.S. I know we americans assume everyone quotes in our dollars. Thanx
Yes, his prices are in CDN $. Our low $$ will make it a lot cheaper for US riders....SS_MB-7

Yes, his prices are in CDN $. Our low $$ will make it a lot cheaper for US riders. For example, a custom 853 frame is $1450CDN, which is approximately $900US. A little pricier than Curtlo. I've seen Hugh Black's (True North) work first-hand and it is gorgeous! I wouldn't hesitate ordering a frame/fork/bike from him.

Never heard of them before. They could go to town naming their frame models: "strong", "free", "glorious", "patriot love", "glowing heart", "far and wide", "on guard", etc.

I really like this one. I think the Kona Project 2 fork and a slightly lighter ss wheelset would make this a really fun thrash and crash bike.
