I just put a 118 on a Surly with LX cranks. I think I could have gotten away with a 113. Haven't ridden it yet so I'm not sure how its going to feel, but there's a lot of clearance at the stays. With any luck I'll know more tomorrow.
just got a M950 BB @ jensonusa.com, for $20 with tools!!!...kam

i also just got a set of 180mm xtr cranks for a frame that's being built right now. the m950 bb is 68/73 adjustable and comes with the tools for the bb cups and lockring for the cranks, for $20, it's unbeatable! check out jensonusa.com!!!

110mm is what they recommend for the square taper, not sure if it's the same for the XTR splined though. Shoot them an email, they respond quick and will give you the right answer.

Yep. You need to come down to Avalon Sunday morning for trail maintenance, BBQ, Beer and riding. Then hit the SY show that night.

You mean like work on the trail instead of riding on it?That doesn't sound like fun.jk Yeaa i think i may come out there ...maybe get a ride in too.
Pic is the last ride the crappy cook bros cranks went on ...Lake Redman preride.
There will be riding after the trail work. And beer. - nmSingle Speed Outlaw
