Manufacturer's chainstay measurement reliable?Ginz

Gary Fisher says my chainstay is 413mm (approx 16.26"). Is this measurement reliable for use with the fix me up calculator?

I know...I know... just experiment with different combos, but I thought this would save me some trouble.
