| Help me find my Mate! | red-haze Nov 22, 2002 8:54 AM | | All right, got ya to look, so while your here please go root around in your parts box and see if you have the Left Hand matching crank. This is an OLD Suntour VX gold anodized crank, 175mm. I was loading up on parts at the lbs yesterday, getting stuff for a new frankenbike and other projects, while he was having his Customer Appreciation Sale (special sales and so on for good customers) and I needed a crank to go on a Redline Monocog frame to match up with a sturmey archer 3 speed hub. Most mtb cranks have their chainrings way outboard, need something way inboard, and he had a box of RH cranks that had this beauty in it. Saw it and had to have it, but its missing its mate!
soooo loooonely!
thanks!

| You big CHEATER... | noslogan Nov 22, 2002 5:36 PM | | So, how do I use(convert) my '66 Sturmy 3 speed hub on(to be used on) a modern bike???? |
| First ya gotta... | red-haze Nov 23, 2002 7:34 AM | | get some nuts...to use as spacers. But even then it may not work. for me, the Monocog has the narrower chainstays/dropouts so it should work ok, I hope. I'd really like to find one of the original 3 speed fixed hubs, but thats a distant dream. mebbe I'll convert an AW 3 speed into a fixed 2 speed.
Good luck!
