| Is the Bianchi BASS a noodle... | ckayakr Feb 3, 2003 2:30 PM | | I just rode a BASS on the weekend...I found it to be a relatively flexible frame...Does anyone else feel the same on this one...Or am I off base??? |
| It's neither... a BASS is either a fish, a guitar, or a speaker. | Padre Feb 3, 2003 3:19 PM | | Bianchi makes the "BUSS" though, and if you are experiencing a sloppy feel, it's likely the cranks. My wife and I both own Bianchi SS's and both feel stiff at the pedals. I test rode the BUSS at the shop and it felt sloppy only due to the cheezzzy race face cranks. The frame is solid thought. You are definately.. off BASS. |
| Oh contraire!(sp) | Jmac17 Feb 3, 2003 4:08 PM | | They actually did make a BASS(bad a$$ single speed?) before the Buss(Butt ugly SS..root beer brown)! The ones I've seen were a lime green, not celeste like the CUSS. The more educated folks here could shine more light on the age of that model & weather or not it was a steel frame, unlike the later ones that are aluminum. If it's almnm., I doubt thats where the noodly ride is coming from, typically a more stiffer ride comes with the almnm.
