| Just scored an OLD Diamond Back Accent or Access(?)... | PROGRE-SS Mar 27, 2003 3:04 PM | | From a coworker who just bought herself a new Trek 4500. I'm planning on converting it into a single speed for my wife so the family could all ride around together. It's got a stell frame, Exage Biopace gearing and thumbshifters so it's pretty old. Fork is cracked so it'll be replaced by the one I took of my Trek. Woohoo! Once this is done the whole family will be riding single speeds! Well, except of course the baby who'll be riding in a trailer. BTW anyone know of any inexpensive sources for good child trailers in the PA/NJ area? I'll post pics eventually. Hopefully this one will be a quicker build then my Trek.

| Cool! A Biopace singlespeed! | GlowBoy Mar 27, 2003 4:58 PM | | Now you have to keep a Biopace chainring on there when you convert it. Both because it's cool, and to show the naysayers that it can be done. |
| And it even has... | PROGRE-SS Mar 28, 2003 10:19 AM | |
It's a mid 80's Diamond Back. Should be a fun conversion. I took the rear wheel off last night and just then noticed the drops. My coworker informed me the frame was cracked at the derailleur hanger. Little does she know!!! lol! |
