Jul 24, 2003 12:13 PM | | You only need two things, The proper casette lockring remover tool by Park, which is the FR-5 tool and a chain whip tool, the Park # is SR-1. If you have two chain whip tools (SR-1) you will have the proper sized open ended wrench (1 inch) to use the lock ring tool (FR-5).
There use to be a tool called a hypercracker that removed the lockring on my Shimano cassettes while still on the bike. I have not tired this took on my CK rear hub. Next time I change out the cog, I will try it.
