Jul 24, 2003 4:25 PM | | Got my Karate Monkey together! It's starting life as a Singlespeed and down the road will become geared (Going to be my neighborhood, bike path, errand bike). But for now I'm enjoying it Singlespeed style! This thing is a BLAST to ride! I really like it a lot! Here are some pics of it!

Jul 25, 2003 3:48 AM | | The shop I ordered the Monkey from made me a deal on 2 1x1's they were Blowing out (moving 2002 stock) - I bought them at the same time I got my monkey. I offered both 1x1's here cheap - but no one wanted them so I sold my 2 on Ebay. My buddy up here bought one also - and after he saw my Monkey he wanted one so he's selling the 1x1 off (I'm selling it for him on Ebay) and he's ordered a Monkey....

On the other hand... HEY, two more 29" riders out there, way to go Freddy!
My buddy tried the Monkey for size, and as expected it fit him like a glove, after I lowered the seat some 5". We always have the same bike sizes. He loved it, must have one now as well. I'm now trying to talk him out of a big sythesizer puchase, which I actually would benefit from as well. And the buddy is obviously faster on my Monkey than his own 26" hardtail, hmmmm, need to re-think my motivations... |

Jul 25, 2003 5:37 AM | | I know - the guy who has a monkey on order here is pretty much building it up the exact same.... even is getting the same rims - he was going to use the Mavic CSP21 he had - but like my Alex rims better. same brake... same tires... I have a feeling my Monkey will be going through a change....
