| Voodoo Nzumbi takes 1st place! | JRA Sep 22, 2003 8:41 AM | | Did the Tour of the White Mountains this weekend in northern Arizona. They did have a 66 mile endurance race option but I let reason get the better of me and signed up for the 52 miler. I took first place in the 52 mile SS class on a borrowed rigid Nzumbi that I had a total of about 22 miles on (14 of that the day before the race). 5hr55min and change was my total time. There was one other SSer that did the 52 about an hour back of me. Quite a few other SSers did the 66 mile race (including at least one lady) and that class was won by the "Rudy Project" from Tucson on a full rigid FIXED Matt Chester!
Hopefully a bit more at lunch ... must get back to work. |

Awesome job, you are definitely an inspiration for my riding with that performance! |
