how about some recommendations for w i d e handlebars. are the azonic doublewalls appropriate for ss'ing? i'd like something like the worldforce only wider... and if i could find some flat 28"ers that would be really great.
I like the 28inchers too... these are my choices...Padre

Easton Carbon DH bars.. these rule, there light, and super strong.
The rise is only 1.5" but they are my first choice.

On my two other bikes I run the Azonic DW's and have run them on my SS a great deal. I have the 2.5" rise on my long-travel squishy and the 1.5" rise on my 2nd SS.
The bend on the 2.5" is a little weird, but they are solid.
Oh yeah, the Azonic's are about $90 cheaper too!
If you can go 27".....Fast Freddy

You could run some MaxM MX-6 bars - I had a set and they were nice - just to wide for my local trails....

Azonic PDW's and DW's, both 710's I think. The best that I have found are the Easton EA50's that come on the Cannondale 1FG from '03. I have not seen them anywhere but on the bike, they are a full 28" and only about 1" rise. Very nice bends as well.

and 2.5 rise. They seem great on my FR hardtail, I'm sure they would work fine on a ss. I would mount them on my SS but our local trails are narrow!

Buy 'em wide and trim 'em down to what you like.
