Bit more resting. Nice spot for it.scorcher seb

Almost down with the climbing. I can't remember the total gain on the way up- something in the region of 5.5 to 6k.

Looking a good deal more like desert again. We'd been out for nearly 10 hours by this point, with lots of stops and a generally sociable pace. My legs were definitely feeling it.

At least two riders in the pic - more hidden in the canyon below. I think this bit of trail was designed/built by Tiggerrider.

What to do the next day to recover from 50+ miles and 3 Zones?

We went and did The Edge singletrack on 3 Edges (and Nancy on a gearie). I suffered from the start, but soon recovered to have another great ride. Followed by a cruiser ride into town for more beer and steaks.

Bikes are great. Singlespeeds are a revelation. Bikes, great company, beer and steak! Words fail me.

Thanks to Jerry, Jon, and Nancy and everyone else who attended.
