Singlespeed Conversion on long travel bike...(3 posts)

Singlespeed Conversion on long travel bike...KavuBiker
Nov 14, 2003 11:48 AM
I'm working on a project to make a long travel bike for freeriding/trail riding.

I've decided to run it singlespeed and I've decided to use a fixed rear derailleur to keep the chain tensioned through the suspension movement.

My question is will the chain remain on the rear cog if I run a chainguide up front? I'm thinking it should work, but I was just wondering.

Thanx!

That oughta work but...Sparty

...you might want to toss a pair of discos on the rear end just to insure that the chain can't derail at the back, too.

Probably will do that "just in case".

Well, its a project, half the fun is trying to make it work, right?

Thanx!
