Note that with a 113mm ES70 you'll get a 54mm chainline @ the outer ring. A 118mm ES70 bumps your chainline out towards 57mm.

Different setup. I don't remember buying any hardware, so I think I used the original bolts and spacers for this.

The new '04 XT cranks use the same bolt pattern as '03 XTR...Halloween

So, one could use Jericho's pimpin' ring/guard on 'em, if one wished.
Are you absolutely sure? The XT I held was 104-4 like usual NMCloxxki

with a Salsa[non-ramped] chainring and a Salsa Trials Guard.
