thats assuming that this is a standard size freewheel hub. there are some bmx hubs that use a smaller metric standard, although chances are slim that you own a hub like this.
good bike shops should have this tap as a service. it'll only cost a few buxx. my shop chages $ 5 - 15, depending on severity.
I don't know if a machine shop will have this tap, as I believe its pretty bike specific. your best bet is to rake it to a knowlegeable shop. |

Jan 13, 2004 7:48 AM | | that's the same thread as BSA freewheel hub threading. If you can get it started you might be able to coax it forward, back off, repeat repeat, use some oil while doing so, until you clear the buggered threads. worth a shot, it won't make things worse. |
