Whatta' week.

Last Monday, my shoes exploded! I couldn't get out of my left pedal. I pulled, I yanked, I twisted then I look down to see my old Shimano's blow up before my eyes. Cleat, screws and sole disappearing in a cloud of rubber, never to be seen again. No biggie, I have a new pair of Diadoros at home and I got over 6 years out of the old shoes.

On Wednesday, Celly said to me, "I find you lack ... Passion." Sniff, sniff.

Thursday,I got my Avid disc installed.

On Friday, "Someone" wanted to fight me behind the school but ran away when his address was revealed.

Saturday, Sister Sandy and I took an easy ride to break in the new Avids. We got lost. How do you do this on a rail trail? We thought we found our way again but it was a different trail. We rode and rode over new single track. When we finished, we saw the sign that said "No Bikes." Signs like this should be at the start of a trail. We rode down a hill. At the bottom we saw the sign that said "Private Road - No Trespassing."

We rode some more and found a familiar road and eventually found our car next to the "No Parking" sign. We did not get caught so it was a good day all in all and the Avids were set up in no more then two miles.

Who did that old song about signs? "Sign, sign, everywhere a sign..."
