new CD burner = bike mix CD(15 posts)

new CD burner = bike mix CDJim Dubya

So my first personalized CD should be a mix of bike-related tunes I think. So far I'm thinking...

Jimmy Eat World "Bleed American'' - "Blood sweat sugar on the asphalt''

XTC "I'd Like That'' - "I'd like that if we could cycle down some lane.''

Beastie Boys ''Professor Booty'' - "My chrome is shining just like an icicle, I ride around town on my low rider bicycle.''

Queen "Bicycle Race'' (obvious)

Moby "South Side" - "I pick up my friends and we start to ride''

Buckcherry "Ridin' '' - "We're goin' riding.''

Foghat "Slowride'' and/or "Ride Ride Ride''

John Linnell (of They Might Be Giants) "South Carolina'' - ''In a big South Carolina wreck I crashed my bicycle''

Nazareth "My White Bicycle''

Ani DiFranco "Little Plastic Castle'' - ''I heard the sound of your bike as your wheels hit the gravel''

Wallflowers "Angel on My Bike''

Geez this is going to be a weird CD. How about some more suggestions?

sebadoh - beauty of the ride

tomorrow - my white bicycle (60s psych band, might be the same song as your nazareth mention)

pink floyd - (barrett-era; can't recall the exact title, but there's a line about "it's my bike, you can ride it if you'd like" or something to that degree)

The song is "Bike" from "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn"

"I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like.

It's got a basket, a bell that rings and

Things to make it look good.

I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it."

I was going to post that one too, but you got there first.

There is a Billy Goat song that mentions "borrow my homies mountain bike.." I think it's on an album called Black and White. It's a good groove. Great idea, I'm gonna put my own together tonight!

Listen to the lyrics and image what you tell a beginner what to do. It quickly becomes obvious.

ml-XTC is an excelent choice.

Bouncing Souls - "The BMX Song"Howard Roark

it's punk, but it's good.

If i had money i'd buy a new BMX.

It's a long walk through the city in the rain,

It's a long walk from train to train.

We'll build a ramp and do some tricks

and try to impress some chicks.

Then we'll put on some really dark shades

and run over all the dorks with rollerblades.
