Sep 10, 2001 9:55 AM | | Thursday = McKenzie River Trail on my singlespeed, had a great time handling 7 LBS guys all on xc duallies with gears! Of course it wasn't a race, but I had a 27 minute gap on those suckers by the end of the ride, they couldn't figure it out. It was a good day, sunny, good trail conditions, nobody else out on the trails, perfect!
Now, on to the Bend stuff. Rode a bunch of trails so I could mark them and stuff, I have to hand it to the Forest Service for doing a great job of marking trails with new names and new routes! Should be fun/interesting for all who plan on following me in two weeks. Two weeks, who's excited!? Anywaysssssss, if you're coming to Bend (and reading this) be prepared for dust and sand cause there is lots of it. I rode a bunch of different routes trying figure out which ways would still be fun yet keep the sand and dust to minimum, but I had no success.
