Sep 29, 2001 9:30 AM | | was absolutely awesome yesterday afternoon. Did the loop in Cosmic Ray's book and had a blast. Primo singletrack with enough techy bits to keep things very entertaining. Didn't see another soul on the trail. Saw a few folks up on the rim on the road and that was it. Beautiful forest up there. Let's not forget those amazing views from atop the rim. Yowza! Maybe a few more loose rocks and some additional sand for the climb up to the rim. Nowhere near enough already. (sarcasm) ;-) Then the drop back down. Oh yeah, so good. This ride really reminded me of a loop in Pisgah. Very similar. Different trees and lots of sandstone instead of granite being the only real differences. The way the trails flow is eerily similar. Was really groovin' on that aspect of the ride. Simply put, I had a blast and would highly recommend this one to anyone.
Headin' up north for a 6 day walk through the big ditch. Vacations kick @ss.
Y'all workin' folks hang in there. I'm out here until the middle of Oct. So there. ;-P
