...your message was sent to my work acct where they've been blocking outside msgs from most mail servers lately (fear of another virus getting into the system). Best was to reach me is thru the following addy: marco@pambamtb.org

Yes, TK was fun, and yes, that was my road bike sharing space in the bed of the truck with the Voodoo... a little riding variety makes for a more interesting weekend, ya know? Details will be inna e-mail.

TK Lawless, that tight twisty little gem of a trail in Southwest Michigan?

that's the one. Good singlespeed type of location, i think i shifted once or twice there. No real climbs or anything to want to shift down to granny and the downs aren't long enuff to want to shift up for more speed. Managed to ride everything 'cept when i was almost taken down by one of those many #$*&^%! sandpits. What's up with those?!?

That the sand pits are placed in strategic locations by the MMBA monster. He get's hungry too, ya konw!

Sand in Michigan is just the byproduct of our glacial morain soil make up. There are also times when a trails construction will take it through sections that are too steep and we all love fall line construction. Rain water just carries sand down to the bottom of our little hills.

But a cool little trail!

I don't remember sand pits so they must not have been too bad to grab my tires. (MotoRapter 2.4 up front and Fire XC Pro 2.1 in back.)

Do you ride there in the winter?

Nope, it's a 2.5 hour drive from me. I'll generally go out for the two Time Trials. I announce for the promotor that puts the events on, so I'll ride it before or after the race.
Tight twisty jem it is!Stine

I LOVE that place. No long climbs. I really like THAT. Very "busy" ride is also how I like to describe it. Really good trails to improve your bike balance and steering it seems to me. Really cool how they managed to fit 10+ some odd miles of trail into not much more than like a square mile of land. And strange to see and hear folks near to you but maybe miles behind or ahead of you. hehe

I wish it were closer to home.

We hold a couple of Time Trials out there a season, and it's a noisy race. Just a blur of racers and a cacophony of gears and chains...

Hey there......good to see you're not selling. The bike is good for you.
I'd feel weird without a bike. Better keep it.

ever been over to those Thornton trails? They're pretty cool.

Hope to go back this coming weekend if it's not too wet.

Thornton, IL? Nope...TK Lawless? Nope... I have ridden Yankee Springs and Fort Custer. Michigan is light years ahead of IL and even Wisconsin with the trails.... MMBA is a serious advocacy group. The race series in the state if Michigan is a class act. There is a ton of great places to ride there.

Now... About this Thornton trail. Is it in Thornton, IL? Do Tell!!!
