Didn't ride this weekend but ...NewMex®

I did go into the mountains. I took a group of Boy Scouts on an overnight back packing trip into the Sandias. We shuttled to the top and went all down hill from there. It was the first back packing trip for most of the boys so we wanted it to be an easier route. On the trail down I kept saying to myself that this would be an excellant trail to ride. Only problem is that the area was wilderness so no bikes. I keep watching the trail and picking lines like I was on my bike. I just couldn't get it out of my mind. We hit the last 3/4 mile of the trail and I realize that there's no way a bike could make it down this part. It was extremely steep and loose. One bad move and you were sliding a good 100 feet or more.

So even though I didn't ride my bike this weekend my mind was thinking about it. I'm so sore this morning that I had to take a hot bath just to be able to move. My lower legs are so tight and painful taht I'm thinking that I'll see if I can get in for a massage today.
sounds fun...zen

What trail did you all take? I hiked La Luz Sunday, let me tell you I'm sooo sore today. Hiking exercises completely different muscles than mtb'ing so you certainly feel it. The trees are starting to turn it's great, my favorite time of year. To my surprise the spring up there was still running, this time of year it's usually dry as a bone.

the towers to Tunnel Springs in Placitas. The spring there was still running pretty good as well. Most all of the aspens at the top had already turned and fallen but the scrub oak was starting to turn though.

Yeah all those other muscles are screaming today. What a friend we have in Advil. ;-)>
