| Shine on you crazy diamond..... | mugg Oct 25, 2001 7:29 AM | | The old trees smiled down upon us as we entered the woods. A skinny brown line no more than 6-inches wide was faint and barely visible. It went smoothly for miles and crossed several small, rocky streams. Rows of imposing trees were lined in an unorganized manner on both sides of the path. Riding along on a fine day, I looked about carefully and focused on my natural surrounding. Light rays from high above penetrated through the branches of the oak and maple trees. The water from the slow flowing stream that snaked alongside the path glistened from the late afternoon sun, its mirror like reflection made my eyes squint and made me wish I wore polarized shades. There was a brilliant glow from the peak colors and an exquisite smell that only autumn season brings. I felt a sense of awe for the overpowering experienced as we rode deep inside the woods. Rosita followed me closely on her newly converted single speed. It was her first time riding a gearless bike saved for her childhood bike with a banana seat. The trail was mostly flat with some very short off-the-saddle climb, thrown in to try and impede our progress. We rode until we got our mountain bike fix, feasting on a riding delight that comes on any given day and thankful for our very good fortune. Thanks for reading and have a grand day......muggster.
 The path is somewhere here.
 Sea of fallen leaves.
 A beautiful autumn day.
 A small slice of heaven.
 One gear is simple.
 Shine on you crazy diamond.
