| "Jive" brand parts washers | Jive Oct 25, 2001 9:16 AM | | A week or so ago I noticed, on reaching the end of a baby formula can, that the diameter was about the same as that of a cassette, so I removed the label, cleaned out the can, filled it to a depth of about 3" with degreaser, and hey viola, instant cassette washing device. Instructions for use are:
- Insert dirty cassette
- Close *and seal* lid
- Shake living shit out of the can for a few minutes (some sassy Latin music helps)
- Remove clean cassette
Stubborn dirt still has to be attacked with a brush, but the wife is delighted the kitchen sink is no longer doing double duty as a parts washer. If anyone needs a baby formula can, I can get plenty.
Next week: Ragu Jar Chain Cleaners :)
BTW, does anyone know how to avoid gas when using baby formula? I've been farting something terrible. |
| Follow baby formula with a strong dose of Bean-O.......... | SoulRider Oct 25, 2001 9:28 AM | | sweet deal on the can usage. I can relate to using a sink for a parts washer. Although mine is in the powder room downstairs that way mostly guests use that sink....a plus side of that now that the kids are a little older is I can retreat into the bathroom with various bike parts, cleaners, beer, food and be pretty damn self sufficient until they hear me in there...then it's....."Daddy what are you doing in there?"........damn! They found me!! |
| Careful Jive! | Stick Oct 25, 2001 11:51 AM | | If your Ragu Jar chain cleaner is anything like my salsa jar device....DO NOT shake vigorously (w/ or w/o sassy latin music)!
I'll give you 3 guesses as to what happened.
-Stick (does baby formula get dirty degreaser stains out of carpet?) |
