To those of you sick of the constant flame wars.....TNJED®
Oct 25, 2001 12:39 PM
They are being started by the veterans in here, not the newcomers. Follow some threads in here today, and notice who throws the first stone. It is not myself or another unmentionable newbie, but rather some regular passionites that enjoy holding grudges, and constantly picking on the new guy. You will know these people because they will likely be the first to reply to this post.

They do this because they know people in here and they know they will not be pounded on like the newbies. Eventually, the newbies strike back and are immediately labeled as the bad guy. Watch it happen. It's getting worse, and it is lowering the value and the quality of this site.

I'll be honest, I love a good battle, but when someone is continuously following you around and discrediting your posts, it is nothing but frustrating. I enjoy posting in here and will continue to do so. Please don't reply with a "then leave" attitude for I am simply trying to make an objective observation.

I had never had ANY contact with S+J outside of some comments I made in his little poll last week. Last night someone else has been bothering the little putz, and he comes right out and essentially accuses me of being involved. I call him to task and now I'm the bad guy?

Your logic is a "bit" flawed, man. The "victim" complex is hard to swallow.
Celly...c'mon man....TNJED®
Oct 25, 2001 12:51 PM
you weren't supposed to answer that first...I wasn't even talking about you. You used to follow me around, but you stopped. You had a legit battle with s+j. I had others in mind. I know, the victim thing is tough to swallow, but I am sick of being the bad guy all the time, and all I do is perpetually defend myself. People are just riding on the old TNJED's a pr1ck thing because there's nothing else to do in here.
You know how it goes away?celly

Ignore it. Easier said than done perhaps, but doable nonetheless.

Much easier said then done...I've actually ignored alot of shit, but some people are just ummm...unignorable (is that a word?)
Gee, thanks for your lovely "defense"S+J

You try to speak for newbies in general, then you go back on what you say.

Maybe I missed the point of that, but that's sure what it sounds like.

You're just reaping what you have sown.

It's that simple.

To break it down for you, in terms that might be easier for you to understand, you're like the guy who drinks 10 Gorilla Butt Sweats (<--bartender reference) on his 21st birthday and wonders why he smells like puke the next morning.

I know plenty of people that think Bud is a great beer, but then people thought the world was flat and sickness came from "Evil Humours" in the blood too...

and was impressed at with their facility. The term friggin' huge comes to mind.

Don't like Bud at all but in their tasting room discoverd they make some not bad dark beers. They have something like 20 different beers on tap, but for the beers I was asking for they were opening cans and bottles.

Just checked this site:

http://www.anheuser-busch.com/overview/abi.html

and one of them was Michelob Black & Tan. Not sure what the other was.
I'm sure Anheuser-Busch makes some dandy brews...Twilight Error®

but Budwieser IS swill.

I wonder which "Microbrews" they actually make.
They all suck.Pete.
Oct 25, 2001 3:52 PM
Nothing like being stuck in east bumfuck on business, going into the bar, ordering the "amber" on tap and gagging.

After looking closely at the tap, you realize it's some macrobrew from Michelob.

I would rather drink box wine.

Pete
mmmmmmm Box Wine. If it comes in cardboard, it has to be good.Twilight Error®
Oct 26, 2001 3:32 AM
Which is made even better from the fact that it comes in a 1 gallon cardboard box!

I was merely trying to give A-B the benefit of the doubt, having never actually had one of their "Microbrews". I'll take your word that they suck and not bother asking for one.
I didn't say they were good...CraigH
Oct 26, 2001 8:56 AM
From memory, I think I said they weren't to bad. Bud is bad.

I'll pass on the box wine thanks. Almost as bad most homemade wine.

Life is to short to drink bad wine, bad beer & bad coffee.
Agreed. Check out their URL for a complete list of their productCraigH

click on "beer"

Their factory is interesting from a technical viewpoint. They even have their own powerstation. The city of St. Louis can be dark, but they can still make beer.
Mmmmmm. Swill. (nm)scorcher

"Gorilla Butt Sweats"?Lloyd the Bartender

In a certain tavern here in this college town, they call it a "Buffalo Sweat".

The birthday boy is peer pressured into drinking a single glass consisting of:

milk, vodka, rum, beer, 2 emptied ashtrays, the drippings from a freshly rung out bar towel, mustard, hotdog juice, Tabasco sauce, and some other crap.

Everyone shouts "Sweat! Sweat! Sweat!", "Don't be a p*ssy!", "Come on man, I did it on MY birthday!" etc, while the birthday boy shakes his head and refuses. After about 30 seconds, he caves in and drinks it. Usually he takes one sip, gags and backs down. Now he has caved in to drinking something disgusting, yet still he has failed to impress anyone. If he does manage to down it all, he pukes and is now accepted as "cool".
LLoyd, that sounds like a very accurate account...TNJED®

How long does this reaping and sowing last? I've been good for a long time. I keep thinking if I had just met some people at that damn gathering, I'd be alot more respected in here.
