| I'm calling it quits | S+J Oct 25, 2001 2:59 PM | | What a day. Flames this morning, followed by more and more flaming, then superceded in turn by MORE flaming..
..until finally Wanderer made a good point. He said, in effect, "The better man can walk away. You're just being childish."
Well, guess what?
Point taken and received. I think I'll cut back on the flaming for a while. Not apologizing--merely facing the facts. It's gotta end. I am a newbie (a registered newbie, yet STILL a newbie) and I have jumped in over my head. That's my fault. And I will do the honorable thing and end it here. As Stick has pointed out in an earlier post, all this flaming is accomplishing nothing, but instead detracting from worthy MTB-related posts.
So I walk away from the lab tonight, frazzled yet perhaps wiser. Believe what you will about me. I've said my part. I've given you the facts, and there is nothing more I can do about it.
See you all tomorrow.

| See that? 3 minutes! | S+J Oct 25, 2001 3:05 PM | | Wow, right before I leave. Your timing is incredible. That's all I'm going to say.

| Nope | Spike Oct 25, 2001 3:43 PM | | Despite kami's anti-snow rants, the only way Cowtown is ass deep in snow is if you're sitting on the ground. Even then, it's only about an inch, and bare in sunny spots.
I saw some news footage of the healthy amounts of snow at the top of the ski hills though. Looking good!

| In December | JimC Oct 25, 2001 3:48 PM | | around Christmas, I require it to be warm and sunny, gotta do the in-laws thing in Innisfail. *yawn*buuurp* Xmas dinner 4 times in 4 places. And no riding. Unless I steal a cow. Jim |
| I'm on ICQ with skog right now..... | celly Oct 25, 2001 3:59 PM | | He tells me it's just about "show time" on the trails along Spray Lakes. Woo Hoo! |
| Does that still hold true.... | GnarlyOne Oct 25, 2001 5:06 PM | | ...if one is as short as me? :-)
It is still 90 degrees, here in Phoenix -- it is hard to think about SNOW! So, Court, are you guys going to come down to the nice, warm, sunny climate of Arizona for the SNAG (Sedona Not A Gathering)? Prolly during the American Thanksgiving weekend? |
| Sorry, girl.... | celly Oct 25, 2001 5:28 PM | | Scott touched base with me today. We're moving Dec 1. No more vac time left in '01. Bad timing. Make sure skog takes a ton of photos. ;-) |
| well....there's always '02.... | GnarlyOne Oct 25, 2001 5:50 PM | | The weather will be, like, perfect for the next 5-6 months. skog says that there's some really good deals on airfare right now....and 'cause it is snow bird season, you can even get a direct flight!
Good luck on the move. |
| Thanks! | celly Oct 25, 2001 6:13 PM | | But we're still trying to get you up here. ;-) |
| 2,000 foot level | moneyman Oct 26, 2001 7:55 AM | | I'd have to dig a hole 4,000 feet deep to get there.
How's life, Jimmy?
