| I GOT A KEY!! Non Mtb related, but...... | Bojingles Oct 25, 2001 2:05 PM | | Tomorrow afternoon I get to go and try to win a 2001 Porsche Boxter and a Porsche Mountain Bike!!!! Our local radio station in Vancouver is have a "Guy Garage" contest and I was lucky enough to be the tenth caller in the other day and get a key,(along with 149 other people). Tomorrow afternoon we all gather at a big hotel in Vancouver and one by one we get to try our keys in the ignition, and if it happens to start the car......you get it along with the Bike and other bits from other companies!!! I'm so excited. Could you imagine owning a Porsche Mountain Bike...I mean...who else has one of those. I don't know anything about it other than it has disk brakes and it's made by Porsche, so it has to be good. And I guess I would get the car too.
Wish me luck
Janice >>>>>planning on brining a mechanic to look under the hood if the key does not work! hehehehehe..... |
| good luck but... | JimC Oct 25, 2001 2:24 PM | | Jan, you're not a *guy*, how you gonna get in the *guygarage*?
I hope you win that Porsche! Best of luck, Jim |
| D@#n! I was hoping it was a key to the Yellow Gate | Hammer Oct 25, 2001 2:25 PM | | I'd take one of those over a Porsche MTB anyday! But, that's just me... |
| Oh yeah!!! | Bojingles Oct 25, 2001 2:51 PM | | The yellow gate key. I would go for that too. mmmmmm I wonder how we can get a hold of that key! Look into it will you Gary?

| Wasn't me.... | Pat T.® Oct 25, 2001 5:58 PM | | Though I have driven past the Yellow gate before...... What trails did you all ride James? |
| I prefer not to talk about it....... | GTRider Oct 25, 2001 7:24 PM | | I have a whole lot of learning to do before i try again. |
| No worries....... | Pat T.® Oct 25, 2001 8:30 PM | | I am always last when I ride up there, up and down. But it's still fun. |
| So you were the one tying up the line so I could not get through | 006_007 Oct 25, 2001 2:39 PM | | I was trying fairly frequently to get into that contest. I really wanted both porsches. The MTB is more X-country oriented, but everyone needs a selection of bikes in the stable right?
If you win the boxster you MUST get the wicked porsche bike rack that they make for that car. it is a magnificent piece of artwork.
Good Luck |
| And she thinks she will be driving the car.... | rotr no more Oct 25, 2001 3:27 PM | | Actually, we just bought a new Saturn (and yes, we still have the minibikehaulinvan), and we have no desire to pay insurance on 3 autos. We may insure it for a spin up the ski to die highway, cruise aroung Whistler, do the Duffy Lake Rd., and visit the CokeaCola Highway. After that, we would sell it, I'd buy a new bike, pay off Jan's, get another minivan or truck, and retire the Dodge.
However, there are 150 keys, and only one will start it. Keep your fingers crossed.
Tim....does anyone have a copy of Hotwiring for Dummies? |
| All crossed... | elperro Oct 25, 2001 3:43 PM | | How many bikes will $30K buy you? Oh wait that's Canadian so just one =^) I'll be the optimist here and tell you two to be sure to enjoy it for a little while. You two should be coming home with at least a couple of T-shirts right?
Good Luck JANICE!

| leave the mechanic at home... | Stine Oct 25, 2001 4:37 PM | | and bring me for luck!
;)
1 out of 150 for a Porsche? Those are actually pretty good odds if you compare it to other raffles or the lotto.
GOOD LUCK Janice!!
(That would be so cool) |
