Give it a rest.

Ween yourself off this site for a little bit, go ride your bikes a whole bunch and don't post anything about the rides. Ride for the sake of riding cause its almost winter. Log back on after a while and see what you think. This all looks pretty silly to me.

Not to be holier than thou or anything, and not to degrade this site, because I've met and ridden and drank beer with a bunch of really cool people that I've met through here....but when I check this site on my weekly or bi-weekly internet binge its kind of depressing to see people that I know and like engaged in some of the most ridiculous "flame" battles imaginable. This is a site about bikes, lets try and keep it that way, eh?

Yes I'm aware of the irony of b1tching about b1tching, have at it...see you next week.

Bikes rule...until December when my daily dose of Alta begins...don't make me sully this board with ski posts!

Cheers,

-Joe

"Ride for the sake of riding cause its almost winter."

Have you forgotten already?

We ride all year long.

Heading to Utah, eh? Good luck.

Haven't seen you riding much, lately.

Was it something I said?

...I rode Toad's fri/sat/sun while you were gallavanting around the Sierras. However, I have to admit that Space Mountain was more of a rush.

Top secret death march/techfest on Sunday, led by Paul.

Speaking only for myself, but hopefully for many in the silent majority, I totally agree. The flames aren't even entertaining like they were back when, no cleverness or finesse at all, just a bunch of reflex whining and snap insults. About as much fun as watching a grade-school cafeteria foodfight. Gimme Jackie Chan any day. What a waste of bandwidth.

So I'm ignoring an awful lot of threads these days, hoping that I can spot the promising ones.

Have to agree with you. It's not worth lurking here even at my low frequency. Some of these people need to get out & ride.

I think I'll make some time at lunch tomorrow.
It's refreshing for melidarman
