some good bike post, I'll go first. Last night I took my new bike out for the first time. WOW what a ride, I'm in love... again.

I'll need to adjust to a longer stem but aside from that everything is perfect, what a great ride that bike is. I went to the trails across the street from my house. I found a new way to cross the island in double track trails to avoid the one under the power lines. It adds some mileage to the ride as it hocks off some country ski trails I didn't know about. It was fun to make an old ride a new look.

I'm going to climb Bromont with it this weekend; I can't wait to go down Bing Bang with my new Bo. I'll be like a second honeymoon with my love of mtb.

Anyway, thanks for reading, how about you, any riding lately? If not, why not talk about your best ride memory, or how about a picture war, we didn't have one of those in a long time.

Later,

Annie

Hey....ESJ

I would be very interested to know the actual weight of the bike. I have a similar part spec on a Titus RX medium with an Ultralite tubeset and it weighs in at 26.4

I've been leaning towards an Elsalty but don't want to enter the 27 lb range.

If you get a chance to post the weight, let us know!

Thanks.
Dang! Purty and neat-o specs to boot! (nm)Locoman

Think about putting a wicker basket on the bars. It wouldn't change performance, but it would blow minds. Just my 2cents.

I had in mind to add a basquet but with a puppy in spring. I'm getting myself a trail dog and I intend to teach him young.

ly jealous! I have an older Ventana and can't wait to upgrade to a salty eventually. Glad to hear you're enjoying it, keep coming with the updates! (Any bike pics is good bike pics, but Ventana pics are the best :)

the advantages of the quiver. One day I too shall be independantly wealthy and own more than 4 bikes (collectively betwixt myself, the missus and the ankle biter(s)). Until that day, upgradeitis shall rule supreme!

(Nice MP btw!)
Thanks, and...Ciclistagonzo

You'll get a chance to upgrade, did you know that they offer a "Trade-In" price? If you trade in your old Ventana, you get a discount price for a new one. Maybe that will help speed up the upgradeitis cure?

Aaron G.

P.S. When I wanted more travel, I like/d my MP so much I didn't trade her in, so I just got this one instead! =^D

I've known about the trade-in deal for a while but a new bike is behind a few necessities first. One day...

Nice Bruja too! I saw that pic and a few others when you posted them some time ago, think I have it in my stolen Ventana pics folder too *grin*
What do you think of the Marathon?DeRanger

I know you're in the "just getting to know each other" phase with your new flame, but any first impressions?

Great looking bike, and you've spec'd it out to the nines.

So far so good...TinyTank

but like you said, it's a little to early to tell at this point. It's my first FS as well so now I'm playing with the adjustments trying to get it perfect for me but since I'm not sure what it is at this point so it may take a while.

However I promise to give updates since you ask for it. No one ever has to beg to make me talk bikes.

TinyTank,

I ride a hard tail myself, but I'm thinking about getting a FS in the Spring. How do you like the switch?

It's a different ride...TinyTank

Still got my hardtail and still plan on riding it. But so far I love it.

On the technical stuff I ride it'll certainly make it easier on my old body.

Test out a few to see if you like it yourself.
