I am concerned about finding a good job there, or at least a job with potential for growth, in this economy....
How would you say the area economy is doing at absorbing new transplants into the workforce? I have a BS in business, so I can't really go into something like construction based or manufacturing right away and know how to do that....
A cool guy who lives in Fruita who I'm looking at rooming with says I won't have any problem - so that is confidence-inspiring, if true...
Basically, REALLY desire to come there - but also want to avoid being unemployed for a while ( underemployment is okay for at least it's gainful employment).
However, unemployment there where rents are lower is better than that condition here, in Orange County!
I'm gonna go check out some of the pics you've posted now.

Oct 25, 2001 8:50 PM | | I doubt you'll have a hard time finding something. Although, I can't think of anyone who is hiring at the moment, but I'm mostly networked with those in the bike industry. So in short, there isn't much in the bike industry here, but that's just one area. I know that if you know anything about real estate appraisals or mortgages you won't have a problem. They are swamped with the low interest rates.
Basically, anyone with an iota of initiative in this area can find something. |
