| New Passionite in da house! | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 12:14 PM | | I've been lurking on and off for about a month and thought it would be a prime time to introduce myself to you folks. My name is Chris, I am 20, a resident of Kingston NY, and a Columbia-Greene C.C student. I own 2 bikes, a 1999 Trek 520 road tourer and a brand new Mongoose Hardluck MTB. I've been an MTB'er for about 4 years now and love the sport more and more every time I ride. I really like what I see and I'd be happy to join you guys in here. All I need to know is: how do you register here, and what info do you have to provide in order to register? Thanks. |

| LOL!!! | TNJED® Nov 26, 2001 12:47 PM | | Where did S+J go? Did he finally get a losing tally on one of his "Should I Stay or Should I Go" polls. Maybe he's just been in the bathroom the whole time. |
| And the million dollar question is. . . | Stick Nov 26, 2001 12:57 PM | | What unique writing/typing characteristic do 'all' of the Columbia-Greene Community College student(s) have in common?
This goes for CrazyBitch, S+J, Sna-FU, "et al"
does he, she, it even realize what it is? |
| You're right...I didn't even notice... | Drewpy Nov 26, 2001 1:01 PM | | but it is there. Hmmmmm |
| And the million dollar question is. . . | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 1:07 PM | | OK, I'm lost here. Who are these people, and why are they important? |
| I'll buy that you're lost. | Stick Nov 26, 2001 1:15 PM | | if don't know who they are...try here:
it's a start |
| I'll buy that you're lost. | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 1:19 PM | | That wasn't funny. I have no idea of who this person is or why you think I'm him/her. Am I missing something? |
| No, that was VERY funny! LMFAO... | Drewpy Nov 26, 2001 1:21 PM | | hopefully, no offense intended. |
| Use the sort thread by Author link.... | CraigH Nov 26, 2001 1:32 PM | | http://forums13.consumerreview.com/crforum?folderDiscussionsByAuthor@@.ee7b962
Read some of the threads by the people mentioned in this thread.
(Ya, the interface to scroll through the different authors sucks. "Next 50" ad-nauseum) |
| nope - still don't get it. | Nick Nov 26, 2001 1:43 PM | | (hey Craig!)
Nor do I want to scroll through all those posts to try and figure it out. Somebody want to just tell me?

| it's really simple....or is it? | Stick Nov 26, 2001 2:09 PM | | 'they' are all the same person. There've been so many name changes that I might not even have all of the details right, but it all goes back to the '10 Commandments of the North Shore' post a few months back (posted by 'North Shore Posse'). Someone (Celly, maybe?) did an IP lookup and discovered that the poster was in fact not from Vancouver, but posting from a computer lab at Columbia-Greene Community College in New York. Then the 'Posse' disappeared and CrazyBitch came along; posting form the same lab. Blah blah blah, the I was in the bathroom and somebody posted from my computer while I was gone etc bit...CrazyBitch gets blasted by passion regulars and a 'newcomer', also from CGCC, named S+J (who would briefly change his name to hexbolt before also disappearing into the ether). Now, along comes Sna-FU! Also from CGCC...
Each 'one' claims to have no knowledge of the 'others' at Columbia-Greene. Wouldn't be so hard to believe, I suppose, if it weren't for one glaring similarity in the the punctuation that 'they' all use. Every single one of them consistently abbreviates names the same way! CrazyBitch was C.B (notice the use of a *single* period). S+J would sign his name S.J and he went to C.G
Sna-FU! writes that he goes to Columbia-Green C.C <--again, no second period.
To be honest, I never had more than a passing interest in the NSP, CB, S+J saga, but I always thought it was funny how 'they' would claim to be different people (all mountain bikers, all coincidentally going to the same rural NY community college, mind you) who didn't know each other yet all had the same trademark style of abbreviating names and places. The 'view by author' doesn't help much 'cos a lot of the related threads have been archived.
Why do I care? Still don't, but the introduction of this latest character is just too much.
-Stick (passing the time between assays) |
| it's really simple....or is it? | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 2:28 PM | | I've never even heard of these people. I only started lurking here a month ago. What you're doing is generalizing and that's dangerous. You assume that if I use one period instead of two that makes me related to this fraud in some way. You are mistaken in that belief. I'm not interested in starting any flames over this, as it's an irrelevant issue. All I ask for is your trust. |
| I couldn't care less about flame wars... | Stick Nov 26, 2001 2:42 PM | | but there's nothing 'general' about it. I've never seen *anyone* else on this board use a 'single period'. It's a purely CGCC 'm.o.' Maybe you need new english profs? Or is it something in the Hudson water?
hehe, and as for trust... why would you ask me to trust you? More to the point: why would you care if I did or didn't? It's just a mountain bike board and I'm a total stranger to you. If you walked up to a blind man on the street completely at random, would you expect that he trust you too? |
| I couldn't care less about flame wars... | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 2:55 PM | | How does this single-period punctuation pattern make me related to S+J? Or is this your way of correcting my grammar? And call me stupid for thinking so, but I feel that earning someone's trust matters a lot. I try very hard not to violate anybody's trust. Whether you're an anonymous stranger or close friend matters little. I consider being honest one of my duties as a Christian. Only a coward would lie. With or without the protection of anonymity. Period, end of discussion. |
| Hmmm...some questions about those duties. | Pete. Nov 26, 2001 4:01 PM | | I do need some advice from you regarding some biblical duties and how to best follow them.
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Leviticus 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this duty?
I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. I've called the police, but they are unable to help. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself? Is this one of those duties that it's ok to ignore?
Thanks for all of your help you crazy bitch.
Pete |
| Hmmm...some questions about those duties. | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 4:05 PM | | Give reading the New Testament a shot. I think that might clear up some of your issues straight away. |
| Questions too tough, eh? | Pete. Nov 26, 2001 4:22 PM | | Maybe these are a little easier:
My boss invited me to a lunch meeting where alcohol will be served, but Leviticus 10:9 says I'll die if I go. Will I die even if I don't actually drink?
A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Leviticus 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Eating shellfish is like eating somebodies big cold loogies. Can you settle this?
Thanks for all of the help you crazy bitch!
Pete |
| Questions too tough, eh? | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 4:34 PM | | I actually appreciate having you test my faith like this. Gives me another good reason to pull out the Word and read it. Here's one for you: "Jesus called the crowd to him and said,'Listen and understand. What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'" (Matthew 15:10-11, NIV translation) |
| So if... | Pete. Nov 26, 2001 4:42 PM | | ...I stuck a big, dirty black cock in my mouth I wouldn't be unclean until I pulled it out?
Which version of Word is that from? I can't find it in Word 2000.
Thanks for the help!
Pete |
| So if... | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 4:53 PM | | Thanks for the laugh Pete. Low-minded, but funny nontheless. |
| Hey Pete | Goat Nov 27, 2001 6:37 AM | | I've never "spoken" with you (just terrified that I might inadvertently incur your legendary wrath), but these last remarks...well...I'm sittin' here with tears in my eyes at my desk....I just had to acknowledge a good post.
By the way, I like my bull medium to medium-well if you're still burnin' one....just don't burn any goats... |
| I can't take the credit. | Pete. Nov 27, 2001 9:29 AM | | Those questions have been floating around the net for a while.
I just recycled them.

| Ask a Rabbi..... | Zonic Man Nov 27, 2001 7:50 AM | | Right up their alley!
And it should provide hours of good humored fun listening the the answer they make up! |
| ahh, where to begin? | Stick Nov 27, 2001 7:45 AM | | i "call me stupid for thinking so, but I feel that earning someone's trust matters a lot."
I don't disagree. BUT...you've done nothing to earn my trust; you simply *asked* for it. Knowing nothing at all about you, why would I just say, "Sure, okay. I trust you."? Silly.
Stop changing handles. Write anything at all about riding a bike. Then, maybe, I'll *begin* to trust you. (probably not, but maybe)
i "I consider being honest one of my duties as a Christian. Only a coward would lie. With or without the protection of anonymity."
Ironic that you mention being a good Christian. I wonder if, as 'North Shore Posse', you felt like the Moses of Mt. Fromme bringing forth your own 10 Commandments? Guess we've come full-circle, eh?
Have a nice day, C.B |
| ahh, where to begin? | Sna-FU! Nov 27, 2001 7:59 AM | | I am none of the people you refer to. I have never used any other handle than what I am using right now. Why do you continue to assume that I am connected to this person? Have I wronged you in some way Stick? Or have you arbitrarily declared that you don't like me and now you're going to drive me away from here? To simply ask for your trust was a poor choice of words. I will obviously have to earn it here if that is even possible. If I have offended you in any way I apologize. |
| If I may... | Drewpy Nov 27, 2001 8:03 AM | | Why does it matter who Stick thinks you are? Why does it matter if you offend him? I have never met him and while I do think he is a riot, I don't really care what he, or anyone else here thinks of me. MTB has become an obsession with me and this is a good place to feed it. End of story. |
| I wish I had more time to play today. . . | Stick Nov 27, 2001 8:09 AM | | For the sake of everyone else on the board who's becoming annoyed by this thread, I'll PRETEND you really don't know any of the 'other' CGCC trolls. Still, it's funny that you even ask if you've 'wronged' me.
IF you *really* just posted for the first time yesterday...how could you POSSIBLY have done anything to 'wrong' me? So, why ask?
Now, go ride your bike. |
| ah-HA - the abbreviations! | Nick Nov 26, 2001 2:31 PM | | I've been too aware of this ongoing shifting of "personalities" since the NSP post, I just didn't get the reference to the writing similarities someone made ealier in the thread.
Thanks. |
| LOL!!! | Sna-FU! Nov 26, 2001 1:15 PM | | Who's S+J? Is he also a student here at Columbia-Greene? |

| re: New Passionite in da house! | Bonee Nov 26, 2001 4:04 PM | | At least no one accused Bonee as being part of the Columbia-Greene connection this time around. Looks like I've got my very own identity...finally! |

| Welcome, Sna-FU. | Goat Nov 27, 2001 6:47 AM | | If you've been lurking as you say, then you know that there are a lot of good folks in here. Just hang out, post when you feel like it and enjoy. In other words, make yourself to home. Just like any family, there's a lot of dysfunction, but it's all pretty good. I'm from NY (across the Catskills) and have raced BMX in Kingston. Have you any connection to Kingston Point BMX? Just curious. Welcome to Passion. |
| Welcome, Sna-FU. | Sna-FU! Nov 27, 2001 7:05 AM | | Thank you very much for your post Goat. I'm happy to be part of this family, dysfunction or not. I've been to the Kingston Point BMX tracks, but have never ridden there. I don't think my Hardluck is up to the job! I'm thinking my next bike will be something along the lines of a 20" Diamondback Assault T2--Dirt-jumper/race BMX. Maybe if I'm in the area we'll get together for a ride. |
| That's funny. | Goat Nov 27, 2001 7:26 AM | | My 20" IS a Diamondback Assault. Bought it used summer of 2000. Franko frame. My cruiser (24" BMX bike) is a Diamondback Reactor and my first mtb was (still is) a Diamondback Topanga. Don't know how I ended up with all those DB's....guess I'll just tell everyone that I'm a factory rider. That should work until they see me actually ride. |
| That's funny. | Sna-FU! Nov 27, 2001 7:35 AM | | Well that is funny! I guess you've had good experiences with DB. The 2001 Assault T2 is available at Dick's for $300 now and has nice parts + frame. Sounds like a good deal. What do you think of your Assault? Is last year's model cro-mo or aluminum? |
| Here is the link. | Sna-FU! Nov 27, 2001 7:43 AM | | Basically the 2001 T2 looks like this but with 20" wheels. http://www.diamondbackbmx.com/Bikes/bikes.asp?BikeID=279&Type_Folder=Rail&Years=2002&TypeID=83&navType=Rail |
