| New C'dale prototype fork seen this weekend ... | Duncan! Nov 26, 2001 11:28 PM | | A hush-hush protype Cannondale fork was seen being test-ridden this weekend. The prototype fork, called "The Righty", signals a shift by Cannondale towards the Dyslexic and Big "C" Conservative segments of the market. Cannondale's own market research has shown that dyslexics find the lefty shock "very confusing", and political conservatives resent being associated with "lefties".
Adam Mada, SPOKESperson for Dyslexics Untied Against People Who Make Fun of Us, said that reviews of the shock were mixed. "It sucks - rides like a goD!", one tester was quoted as saying. Cannondale diehards are not impressed either, decribing those who said they preferred the "Righty" as "wannabes" and "Righty-Ho-s". "Besides" observed one industry rep, who declined to be named "it's butt-ugly ... looks like a busted-up Bomber". |
| And that............ | Pat T.® Nov 27, 2001 2:59 AM | | Is Ed Zachary why I use a DC fork.....YIKES |

| Combination of things ... | Duncan! Nov 27, 2001 8:03 AM | | this guy aired a small drop (about 2 1/2 feet) and snapped the stanchion. Probably due to repetitive stress and the drop was just the last straw. D. |
| Wowza... | Ska! Nov 27, 2001 5:04 AM | | that's pretty nuts. Hope no one lost any teeth or broke anything other than the stanchion (read arm, wrist etc.). To miss time on the bike because of broken bike parts is one thing but to miss time on the bike because of broken body parts is another. Sheeesh. Either way, it sucks.
Ska! |
| The guy was okay... | CraigH Nov 27, 2001 9:00 AM | | Although he was covered in oil!
From what he said, it might not have even been his fork. |
| Are you suggesting that ... | Duncan! Nov 27, 2001 9:54 AM | | he was on the same stuff as the guys at the Wild Cherry Trailhead? (As in "hey man, wanna buy some OIL?"). I must have missed part of the converstaion. D. |
| No, different group..... | CraigH Nov 27, 2001 10:11 AM | | His riding buddy on the RM9 was giving him a bad time about not getting a double crown and the broken fork guy told him that he hadn't paid anything for the fork yet. |
| re: New C'dale prototype fork seen this weekend ... | Sna-FU! Nov 27, 2001 6:48 AM | | Wow. That's one nasty break! Hope you're OK. |
| Wrong! | DanO Nov 27, 2001 8:44 AM | | Adam Mada is actally the spokesperson for Palidromes Anonymous.
Get it straight! |
| Book 'em, DanO ... | Duncan! Nov 27, 2001 9:52 AM | | He actually works for both organizations. A Palindromic Universe is the drug-free cure dyslexia. D. |
