I don't like him. I think he's a dipshit.
Then he might be a dork...Andy aka Rut

but I don't think his sexual orientation has anything to do with being a dipshit.

Personally, I don't have any problems with him.

I know he lives in the SoCal area, as do I, and it would be great to get a ride in with him.

Ride Up Brown Mtn. to Ken Burton...JT
Nov 27, 2001 11:23 AM
and you might see him in the afternoons more than you think.

I usually ride brown/Prieto or Brown/Burton and have seen him on a few occasions. I've heard of all the crap people dish out on him, but I personally have never had a bad experience with him, he always says hello and seems polite enough.

This one time, some friends and I shuttled the Gabrielino ride from Red Box down to JPL, we ran into him just south of Ken Burton and once he found out we were shuttlers, he got a litlle turned off.

That's about it.
he seemed cool at Brown Mtn...SoCal MTB'r

I had just gotten to the first roundtop on Brown Mtn, before you head upwards towards Burton or downward towards El Prieto, where Zap and a bud of his had also just arrived (Zap was aboard a new, sweet Specialized "S" Works hardtail). I said "hi" to both of them, and both were friendly enough to turn to acknowledge me, nod their heads, and say, "Hey, how's it going?"

Maybe the guy's a little tired of people calling him an asshole, or looking to find reasons to call him an asshole. I mean, do you REALLY know him well enough to call him that?
I don't think so.Ken in KC

He has a daughter.

Have you actually met Zap? What about him don't you like? why is he a dipshit?

I've met him a couple of times. Last September at an IMBA fund raiser and a couple of times at various NCS races. Although he wouldn't know me from the next guy, he seemed nice enough. Polite and fairly down to earth.

Bullit. DH wheelset, a small and middle chain ring with bash guard the last time I met him. The Bullit does have one Ti chain ring bolt.

The time before that was a Fisher X-Caliber. The time before that, I think it may have been a Diamondback with a Rock Shox and cantis.

Like a said, decent enough.
I would most likely have to attribute that then toJm

his "back and forth" on the issue, most likely when you met him on the bullit he must have loved freeride bikes, but the other times he hated them(as shown in countless articles)....
Could be...Ken in KC

I'm not a regular Mountain Bike reader. When I travel a lot, I read more MB if I can find it at airports. I do know that a while back he was bagging on "Free Riders". I also know that he took off to Spain and rode a "Free Ride" bike and loved it.

The only 'zine I subscribe to is Dirt Rag.
no, he just looks like oneclub
