I love new socks!Doc

I love new socks! Ok, I'm wierd- but I don't think there is a more simple and more enjoyable thing on the earth than new socks. I don't care if they are $1 walmart specials, New socks ROCK!

So how is this anywhere near applicable to this board?

The only thing that comes close to the feeling of new socks is brand new full finger MTB gloves. I love them. I wear them in the middle of summer. I have way too many of them. And, I just ordered another pair. AXO's Defender gloves, full finger, armored DH/Free ride gloves.

Mmmmm.....New socks and new gloves....I could be completely naked except for new socks and gloves and be as happy as a clam. The people around me would be running in horror, but I'd be happy.

I love new gloves.

'Cause those are about as durable as really thick paper.

TCN (Made the mistake of buying a pair those once. lasted 3 months=~12.00 per month)
if you want a full fingered glove, thenJm

why buy a mountain bike glove? I buy only motorcross gloves at the motorcross store, if you don't like a 'heavy' glove you can often find lighter motorcross gloves with minimal padding, or you can find something that is nice and thick, and because they are designed for a similer purpose(to grab a handlebar) they are pretty darn comfortable and I have never had any problems with them at all.

They are very durable, often cheaper than a "mountain bike" glove, and usually offer superiour protection(nice plastic "guards" over the fingers, nice for brush and branches).
Why buy a full fingered MTB glove vs MX?Timmy

Because I like that terry cloth thumb to wipe my nose on.

Other than that.....

Your luck was much better than mine! I had a gaping hole in them on the first ride (right on the "kevlar" palm guard) and they proceeded to disintegrate over the next month. I've NEVER had such poor luck with a glove before, but I was especially surprised because this was the most expensive "downhill" model that they sold. Axo=worthless crap in my book...
Nah!!!Timmy

...I have a seven or eight different pairs of Defeet, and I actually take the time the pick out just the right pair depending on where I'm going to ride and what kind of mood I'm in. (Never mind that the criteria change each time - it's still fun.)

And gloves? Can't wait to get my new TLD full fingers, to go with my Foxes. Too bad WTB was out of stock on their logo gloves when I tried to order them - hey, doesn't Salsa make gloves?!?

I am such a freak.

Go to longscycle.com to get a bunch of socks for cheap money. It's a grab bag, so you can't pick the styles, but I think that makes it even more fun. I just bought a pair of blue polka dotted Park tool socks that have taken over my new favorite spot.

Gloves...I love full fingered. I don't even own a pair of cut off any more. I've found Pearl Izumi to be the best brand. They seem to last the longest, and of course cost the most.
