Dec 30, 2001 6:43 AM | | Hey, I just clicked on the Titec stem sale on the opening page of MTBR and discovered they have flat black stems on sale for FIVE BUCKS each.
Immediately thought of you and the coat rack you wanna build. Can you incorporate new stems into it, or do they have to be used and have some sentimental value? How many stems do you need? Heck, I've probably got a couple laying around you could have if you want.

Dec 30, 2001 7:29 PM | | Thanks for thinking of me. I struck gold in Indianapolis, raiding a 2/$5.00 bin at Bike Wave. I got plenty for at least two coat racks - one where all the stems match, one where they are all different. I also got another idea as I was drifting off to sleep, and will be scouting for cast-off bar ends for that one. If you do have any old stems hanging around, don't toss them just yet. If I can get the coat rack thing to work out, I may do an extra or two as gifts, and would happily pay for shipping. I'll check out that Titec sale, too. Many thanks!
